Nisto Incorporated was founded in 1975 by Edward Nist, a lineman for Florida Power and Light. Following a tragic accident in which one of his crew-men died, Ed, who was nicknamed by his co-workers as "Nisto" felt the passion to reduce fatalities in the field. After prayer and much thought, Ed invented the safety device that rescues an injured lineman from the pole or boom bucket and allows for more time to perform CPR. Ed continued his passion for perserving the lives of linemen everywhere until his deaath in 2017, by serving at Nisto Inc and by offering trainings at safety meetings for linemen.
